Aww poor baby. Makes me wana cry :(

This is head nodding, may possibly be an epileptic spasm. But one can just confirm it if you have an ictal video-EEG. Anyway, these are not the most commom and threatful infantile spasms from West sundrome. Baby is really cute! Good development?

my daughter was diagnosed with infantile spasms when she was 6 months after she had surgery for her brachial plexis palsy injury. They found out with an EEG. Shes been on medication ever since she was born. No medication was stopping it until one day i asked God to heal her and He did. She have not had a seisure since september 11 this year.

he does not have rickets and is progressing well, we have been in contact with a physiologist and have been given positive feed back. he at 13 months is not quite walking but standing for short periods- a few seconds. still in the normal range
the nodding was unexplained and has stopped doing it
our main problem now is his eyes he has a congenital nystagmus and an eye turn- also in contact with a ophthalmologist and doing eye exercises( eye patching)

we are in contact with a neurologist @ john Hunter hospital in NSW australia, he has constant check ups and monitering. his head circumferance is normal and is following the normal arc in growing. the EEG was perfectly normal the neurologist was quite impressed.
in regards to the flat occipt he had a minor flatttening of the rear of his skull due to sleeping position- on his back- perfectly normal, which has now evened out since spending less time on his back.

Hello,
My daughter is doing the same sort of thing and we're just booking into an EEG now. Just wondering if they determined what it was?
Thank you
quick update EEG was normal no seizure activity- still no idea what its could be...

has an EEG booked for Tuesday morning. We seem to think that he doenst have any control over his head or neck area- he is able to freely support himself and move both arms and both legs. his eyes dont roll into the back of his head but the do look up. we have noticed that we are able to interupt the 'episodes' and stop them if we tickle him. They dont tend to cause him much grief and he doesnt phase out before or after. they happen when he is excited or happy and when he is being fed, or tired
