He is teaching you to correct your cast, he didnt say anything about starting the down swing with your hands and arms.

this guy is good but this is a stupid drill, using a baseball bat. use a golf club and just do the pump drill.

Jeees, this is absolute nonsense IMHO. Its teaching you to start down with the hands and arms. Start with the hips, keep the right shoulder back and the arms drop automatically on plane, or shallow the plane. This guy always has to bring in a rubber ring, toy duck or some other 'gift'. Stupid-but if it helps you then do it!!!...

I quit listening to Michaels dozens of tips. Lowered my handicap from a 15 to an 8.
