It's spring in the Boundary Waters and on the Gunflint Trail. With the snow and ice gone the Gunflint Trail moose love to lick the salt off of the road. This moose is quite content to lie down and lick the road.
Soon wilderness canoe travelers will be heading to the BWCA and there will be cars on the road, but until then the moose will enjoy its salt lick.
