Prohibition Still Doesn't Work (alcohol then, marijuana now)

December 5th, 2008 marks the 75th anniversary of the repeal of alcohol prohibition. In the interim, however, we've replaced alcohol with marijuana.

I actually am job hunting and would seriously consider work in pot smuggling or selling, and I'm not a bad guy. The economy sucks, so why not go with the gold? Maybe if politicians smoked this stuff regularly there wouldn't be so much war. Makes you mellow and happy, not violent or irrational.

I just don't get why so many people prefer alcohol over marijuana. Booze sucks in comparison. Tastes horrible, makes you incompetent, can't drive while drunk... Pot doesn't interfere with everyday life.

so........i hope i see the day when i am no longer persecuted for smoking a plant that is mostly harmless when put into comparrison with tobacco and alcohol.i wouldnt need atimulus if i didn t have to pay 3 grand and 11-29 probation plus gas and missed work for six seeds in the floor! i thank the government for the aggrevation.....and the mark on my record for the rest of my life.

i watched a video about cannabis being dangerous on the roads, how..? if anything it makes you more safer if you have actually done it.. 3000 people on the roads die from alcohol related deaths in the uk per year, how many from cannabis.. -3000 we save lifes bitches!

@lawlmann its not the alcohol administrations (well it is in part) buts its the pharmaceuticals! HEMP is actually BENEFICIAL to the body and agriculture and INDUSTRY. so much so that tylenol or aspirin or disease would practically never exist if prohibition had never happened. hemp has been around MUCH longer than "government" so who are they to tell me what i can and CANT grow out of the ground with seeds(from the GROUND) who the FUCK do they think they are??

I can Weed doesnt impare you to drive like alchohol.

doesnt make you go home and beat your wife and kids.

I think thats the problem. if you notice every congressmen that has smoked pot in the last year is for legalization. but the alchohol comsuming congressmen are being paid big dollars by the alchohol adminstration to stomp maryijuana to ground.
