How to make one of my all time favourite breads. Turkish pide bread is delicious on it's own, served with dips, or when making kebabs. Please enjoy my simple recipe on how to make it at home. Give it a go!

Ingredients:

230g strong white wheat flour
200ml warm water
½ tbs olive oil
1 tsp dried yeast
½ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 egg
1 tbs milk
Sesame seeds
Nigella seeds

  • Awesome!!..If I were to make this bread in the oven, How long should I bake it for? maybe at 350o F?

  • @0000000Lara 350f is only 180c, you want to be more in the 425f range. It will still work fine at 350, but you wont get as much colour.

  • Actually this is not Turkish bread; it is Persian bread and is called BarBari. It was originally baked in the East of Iran (Khorassan) but became popular all over Iran later. This bread is probably second most popular bread in Iran (after Sangak bread).
