Doctor Who - The Big Bang - Dr Who says goodbye to Amy

An emotionally charged scene where the mortally wounded Dr. Who explained in his final words to Amy Pond - as to why he was about to sacrifice himself to save the dying universe, and chose her to be the companion of his exciting journey which was about to end. Completely epic and definitely a "Gotcha" moment for me. Please enjoy it.

I blended in a scene as a flashback from "The Pandorica Opens" where the dialogue was repeated, with the background music - "Amy's Theme".

I want to say a big THANK YOU to the BBC for creating this new and beautiful DW season -- and got me (and millions) addicted as a side-effect!

@MrBoostey david tennant's a little overrated tbh. yes, he was a great doctor but he got too angsty and melodramatic towards the end imo, always whining about companions and other events in the past. i understood how ten felt about everyone and i sympathised with him, but there were times when i wished he'd get a grip and move on, like eleven has. hell, i'm a eccleston fan but the more i watch smith, the more i like what i see. he's not like tennant at his best, but he does have his moments.

I am The Doctor is the greatest piece of Doctor Who music ever. Murray Gold did a fabulous job on all the new series but this one is amazing!

Watching this after having seen Season 6 for me adds a new dimension to River's behavior during all of this. As far as she knows, her entire existence is about to be negated. The whole reason that she is River Song is because she was conceived on the TARDIS in flight. If the Doctor doesn't come back, she'll never have existed either. Yes, Rory and Amy might eventually have a daughter, but it won't be her, not really. It'll be some other Melody Pond. Not the one who becomes River.
