  • Lovely playing! It doesn't sound like Irish or Scottish music as I know it - but great interpertations of the tunes, all the same.

BTW McArthur Road was composed by Dave Richardson.

...And weren't you cold, standing out there in the mountains without a jumper?

  • @rhapsag Thanks for your comment glad you enjoyed it and many thanks for the correction. I'll change the blurb immediately!

  • what's with the dodgy backgrounds its like that shakira video you just need to roll around in the mud... sounds good though.

  • @burntcrowsticks Don't think I've got the figure for it....

  • Oh... I forgot.... i suck. Thanks for reminding me. Sigh.

  • Yourliver1 - your comment made me laugh out loud several times! It is one of the more unusual compliments I think I've had - I appreciate it but I'd hate to think of any player not enjoying their playing because they don't think they're any good - happy picking!

  • This is more like Irish banjo-playing sounded in the 19th Century, when the 5-string banjo was used (tenor banjo not invented until 1915). See various articles by Dr. Mick Maloney, the acknowledged authority on Irish banjo playing.

Bottom line: this is more traditional than tenor banjo!

  • brilliant playing

  • This is awesome! It's the first time I've ever heard Irish or Scottish music sounding good on a 5-string banjo!

  • Fantastic! Simply fantastic!
