@MrMortalKombatHD1 You don't actually need the metal prongs they where just to satisfy FCC regulations but everyone I know uses it without them and it works just fine but you will need the patch cable to connect the model 2's smaller din connector to the model 1's larger style din connector and like you said that is a harder to find cable. It would be much easier to find a model 2 Genesis than to find the cable you need for the model 1 that's for sure.

I have a model 1 genesis and i also have a 32x with no hook ups and i know to play the 32x on a model 1 u need meatle prongs and the cable to connect the rca for genesis 1 to 32x is harder to find i am woundering should i get a model 2 to avoid spending more money
