@rodylermglez i know. i've seen the film subbed before. it was way better. who cuts out the first 10 minutes of a filn that they didn't create? dubbers shouldn't have that much power.

but wouldn't the explaining of healing tears make the part where ash is revived less....retarded?

@robertreturns This is why people at WB and 4kids thought was appropriate to slap a foreshadowing in here. But the fact is that there is no explanation as why ash was revived with pokemon tears because supposedly "pokemon don't cry in emotional pain".

This makes you think: "Are they sentient or not?" Over the course of you can see that yes, they are! They even make a wish and weep over Pikachu´s loss and they get it granted.
TL;DR: They think viewers are morons.

@rodylermglez when is that mentioned? the show or movie? i don't remember anything about pokemon tears, but as long as ash being revived isn't random, i guess you're right. either way, 4kids should burn(their place of work) to the ground.

@robertreturns Look in my videos for "Mewtwo's Origin" at 7:35, when AmberTwo dies along with the first clones and Mewtwo cries. This scene was removed from the movie but was released as an extra in Mewtwo Returns DVD although, once again, the script is very different in the dub.
Without this scene of course it looks like Ash is revived out of the blue.
