Please don't listen to this person as he does not represent the YouTube community and are using them to try to pressure you into charging for your service.
You see, he doesn't understand that you're owned by Google, and that they make their money through advertising. He doesn't realise that you need to make money and that's the way you do it. He's just thinking about himself and not the future of your service or every other user.
