I think that the army realises that incompetent Mush is a liability. He has destroyed the military's reputaion along with Pak's intl reputation. That's why rtd officers also want him to step down before Mush damages Pak more. Musharraf doesn't have to step down if there isn't a 2/3 majority to vote him out. As much as I dislike him, he knows how to stay in power. The only way he won't be in power is if the army turns on him.

This is an interesting time in Pakistan's history. However, the parties that should have taken part in the elections are the ones who are boycotting.

It Leaves the system back to where it once was, back to the past. Asif Zardari is a dangerous man, and the PML N and the PML Q are both self serving political parties.

Having said that, we all hope that Father Jinnah's Vision of Pakistan will someday be a reality. That is still another forty years away.
