National Railway Museum, York (31/08/09 and 06/09/09): An Amateur Basher Photo Montage

To accompany my recent views of the National Railway Museum in York (Monday 31st August 2009 and Sunday 6th September 2009), here is a montage of photographs taken on both days, in the Great Hall and South Yard.

The collection is mostly focused on the re-streamlined LMS 'Coronation' 4-6-2 number 6229 Duchess of Hamilton, but there is also appearances from GWR 'Hall' 4-6-0 number 5972 Olton Hall (alias Hogwarts Castle), LMS 'Royal Scot' 46115 Scots Guardsman, ex EWS/Royal Train 47798 Prince William and BR Britannia 70013 Oliver Cromwell. Also, the 1934 Chrysler Airflow car makes an appearance!

The streamlining is beautifully done....probably better than original...well done to everyone concerned..

i went to the nrm on the 1st sep and on the scarborough spa express on the thursday we were at york for the week stayed at the sideings hotel the first part of the week in an old mk1 coach beside the east coast main line, great time!
