Now this kicks ass!
All the otherwise dehumanizing automation schemes for mass production could create jobs for humans if we switch to petal power to generate electricity for factories that produce goods. This could also perhaps fix Michigan's economy and pave way for slashed taxes on goods.

Nice, I love how you get the kids in on the action. I think this is valuable on multiple levels: environmental, health & fitness, and scientific. Kids who are challenged by this device will definitely think more about wasted electrical energy!
