Ggreat review, but i did find that whole car rant a little too unrelated, it was interesting though.

You talk like a psychologist.... enjoyed it very much. I'd like to watch it.

@soulofbass Trying argue my point! :(

Let's hope a lot of people will come to embrace the benefits of trains and buses... However, people still have a lot to learn (that, of course, includes me). If we start listening to each other's advice, we can make this world a bit better. Every positive change is welcome, as we will without a doubt need it sometime in the future

I really like the way you break down a film into its essential elements. This discussion is especially relevant to me because I have been thinking a lot lately about this school that was in the news lately. They have had 4 suicides because of bullying in recent years, the last a young Croatian girl. This school is in Ohio USA. I had forgotten how bad kids can be. Also I am thinking about all the close calls I had on my bike this summer. Cars always win in those confrontations!

@alaricdogface yes they do! i know that first hand myself. in my life time i have been hit by a car, been in at least 2 busses that have hit cars in front of them, seen my father hit a motorcycle, have a friend who killed someone in a motor vehicle accident, and have seen countless wrecks from accidents. more than enough to put me off from the idea that cars are safe and good... im glad you found the discussion relevant! 4 suicides in one school ... wow. that's terrible.

Travelling by car from my room in the city where I study to my home, it takes 4 hours by train and bus, while by car it takes 2 hours. When I go alone, I always go by bicycle for short distances and avoid using my parents' car, even though they often offer me to go by car. But travelling by train regularly, I notice that the train is often far from taking the capacity it could. Maybe it's because cars are popular, but I'm not sure whether like this trains are a greener option...

@MGSGeneral alright now envision the possibility that there are no cars and instead everyone has to take the train/bus. do you think that if everyone had to do that perhaps better trains and more efficient bus routes would be created. a quick look at how tokyo (and japan in general) functions today would suggest that yes, it's possible to have efficient public transportation. Trains are efficient and much more environmentally friendly.
