  • The song is really great. The (CD version) duet nominated for Grammy. Funny, I think the harmony could be better too. But Alison sounds better to me in this case.

  • he must have a great personality plus his incredible writing ability. She is a gem nashville can't even see.

  • LOVE it

  • @sixhundredsixtyfive Me either. How old are you? Probably too young for me.

  • The fact that Steve Earle has been married more times than I've had girlfriends, and has lived to talk about it, gives me hope that I may one day find my "Allison Moorer" - that one true love I can never seem to find.

  • The way she looks at him is a fine example of what true music and song can do. Ain't no Lady Gaga crap going on here.

  • Lovely (husband and wife) duet. They sing great together - very sweet. Steve Earle never ceases to surprise me - with a simple, yet poignant song....

    Thanks for posting this.

  • AWESOME SONG, Tug's at the heartstring's .

  • Steve Earle has developed into one of the finest and most gifted song writers of our time. We are truly blessed to have this man and his talents in our midst.

  • Steve Earle and Allison. doesn't get any better than this! Going to Levon Helm's Ramble 2/13/10 to see these two. Gems in American music. F the system. Overlooked? Our loss.

  • I've watched this video a million times, yet it never gets old. Each time I'm reminded of just how wonderful it is that a great song can transcend the superficial, fabricated facade the music industry has created for itself and transport the listener beyond the mindless, mundane mainstream to the heart and soul of where real music originates. Something about this song makes me want to quit my job and become a struggling songwriter (or at least tune my guitar and play along).
