great climb this, does the heart and lungs well, when at full fitness i love switching to a harder gear and flying up it like a headcase, it does catch your legs out at times i can still remember the pain of lactic

i know how u feel, i cycle around the surrey countryside up many steep hills myself, but have eventually got used to it and stronger :)

Yes I'm looking forward to it. Managed an outing at the weekend taking in both Tak Ma Doon and Crow road. I'm beginning to not hate the hills!
Look out for me wearing a white CycleChat jersey (assuming I'm not covering it with a rain jacket!)

did the angle of the camera make the hill look less steep than it actually was?

Aye, it's always difficult to show the slope of a hill on camera, up or down. However, the first section of the hill is the steepest, and this part isn't quite as bad, but my legs are still reeling from the first part!
