The idea for „rueckenlage" (cross-discipline presentations for lying audience) was first developed in 2008, based on a number of questions: Couldn't you lay concertgoers on their back? What happens to their listening experience? And what if you included visual aspects as well?

Haiku 俳句 has its origins in Japanese tradition and is considered the world's shortest lyric verse form. Essential haiku components are concreteness and a reference to the present. rueckenlage chooses a personal, audio-visual approach to allow for an active experience of these open texts.
