In this video I show you how you can do a glitch in Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past.

Requirements:
Mirror
Access to Mountain (I think you just need to have Power Gloves for that)

Moving on!

Basically you go to the warp on the Mountain that takes you to the Darkworld. Afterwards, make your way down (or jump if your suicidal) until you reach two stump lookalike things to show where the broken bridge would be in the light world. Stand between them and push as far as you can towards the edge. Then use your mirror to go back to the light world.

This is the tricky part:
While Link is flashing, move about ONE pixel to the right. Why? So that when you stop flashing, you'll be transported back to the Darkworld, and not teleport you back to the light world. The only reason why it would teleport you back to the light world is if your on an impassable tile, so by doing this, your tricking the game.

Anyway, use the mirror once more, because that one pixel helps you afterwards. Once your in the light world once again, move to the right so that your not on the warp anymore. Then when Link stops flashing, charge up your sword in a way so that when you move, your always facing right (east). Hold the charge and move towards the warp but slowly so that you barely touch it when you warp to the Darkworld. Then you can let go of the charge because the charge cancels the warp back. Then run to the right, and you'll jump off into the void.

Watch the video to see where to go exactly so that you may explore Darkworld early on in the game. That's how I got the Magic Hammer ^^

  • nice, bug world ^^

is it possiblein the GBA version?

  • @Chrisu59 I have no clue, I've never played it.

  • whats the credit song out of curiously?

  • @Ebiru666 "Let's kick it up" by Paul Gordon

  • I have been trying to do this trick for about 4 hours now. yeah sounds desperate. I just like the idea of it. I am playing on a rom tho. does it work on roms?

  • Well I own the game yea? But my SNES is broken so I used a ROM as well. When I recorded it the gameplay was slightly laggy and therefore made it much easier to accomplish.

Which part is giving you trouble?

  • GBA versions suck, so its not possible on them

  • @Chrisu59 It's possible with gba version. I'm not sure it was this exact bug. But I've done a lot of glitching in aLotP a few years ago :)

  • I can do the death mountain descent glitch right before I defeat Agahnim. If I have the moon pearl. I can try it on either the SNES/Wii or even a GBA.
