I like the character reciting this poem. With that large panama hat and friendly false-teethed smile he seems a friendly, fascinating figure, slightly sinister but friendly like Kerouac's Dr.Sax. I found the poem pretty disgusting wondering if Bukowski made it up to disgust? then I remembered I had a brother who would fart loudly about 7 times per hour, once he farted so violently he almost demolished the thin chair he was sitting on. "All noise and no smell" he would say.
