I saw the movie, or mini series first and i thought it was great. And it's what made me really want to read the book. When i read through it i kept on thinking how much better it was than the movie. After reading the book, i actually hate the movie. The only thing i really still like about it is the music.
But, yeah like most people i really don't get the sex bit with all of them. I remember reading it on some comment, and i was thinking: WHAT?! Come on, that's a joke.

Oh, my goodness, I think the gang bang was totally unnecessary. I don't know what Stephen was thinking when he wrote that scene! He should've at least waited until they were legal adults! I am all for explicit sex, but threesomes and gang bangs? Oh, my gosh, and how was it even supposed to make a difference? If they wanted to unite forces against Pennywise, they should've gone about it some other way. I don't know, as if Stephen hadn't done enough damage to the poor kids.

The only part of this book that really bothered me, was the 11 year old sex scene. Way over the top, in my opinion.
when I read the sex scene, it destroyed my image of Beverly to be honest lol.

@titteringfiend1 Yeah, same here. I felt she was then . . . tainted. lol.

I read this novel about a week ago and I had a similar reaction to the fact that It took the shape of a spider. I thought that It's shape would be more fantastical. Sure, spiders are creepy but I predicted that It would be some sort of reptilian beast. Also the use of psychic energy to destroy It was underwhelming and the Dead Lights were confusing. I loved the characters, especially them as children. I grew to love Eddie, since my mother is also overbearing. Overall it was a great novel.

@AGuy1719 I think I forgot to mention the Dead Lights. No idea what that was all about when I was reading it, but it may be one of the connections to The Dark Tower series.
