There are no secrets among the dead.

In Spoon River Anthology, poet Edgar Lee Masters imagines a Midwestern graveyard where, in a series of free-verse monologues, more than 200 voices speak of their regrets, their dreams, their loves and anxieties.

This, then, is my review of the poetry collection published 94 years ago.

  • Hi Anna - Make a trip to Lewistown IL sometime and I assure you the voices will come to you as you enter Oak Hill. My dad is buried there and every time I enter the cemetery I feel ELM's presence. You will have fun finding the tombstones and reading the appropriate poems.

  • According to youtube, Anna Clark=Lindsay Lohan. I agree--the similarities are obvious
