1. Discussion of an incident between school children and an aggressive vicious pitbull and City/County responsibilities

1. Consideration of agreement with the Kalona Optimists in developing a "Community of the Flags"
2. Downtown Revitalization Project
3. Discussion of FEMA mapping by Dr. Larry Weber (with Dr. Nathan Young) of the Iowa Flood Center at the University of Iowa. Dr. Weber explained the methodology used by FEMA and its contractor STARR to produce the Flood Hazard Map of Kalona. Dr. Weber noted that the Flood Center currently is in the process of reviewing the modeling used to produce it and, though not complete, no problems have been found so far. The review should be complete in a week or so. Drs. Weber and Young answered numerous questions from the attendees.

[NOTE: There is no video for approximately 30 minutes of the Q & A due to camera operator error of not clearing the camera memory before beginning to record. The memory capacity was reached without the operator noticing it. A 2nd camera was used after the problem was discovered. SORRY.]
