I loved this movie...watched it when I was young and nieve..If this were ever to happen...would you be prepared? Would you know what to do? Do you have a place to go? What if the ones taking over our nation was our own government?

@TheDemerdgi I believe the reason for the Red Army being the antagonist in the film is due to the cold war happening at the time of the movies production. During the war, the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. were engaged in a war of fear and non physical conflict. This is why the theme of an enemy invasion, be it Red Army or any other countries army, makes such a great plot device in films due to the fear of a literal invasion from that country. Besides, its just a film, be glad its not a documentary!
