Frontline news - Afghanistan - April 11th, 2011

U.S. service members continue to work with their Afghan counterparts in training their military to prepare for the security transitions in July. Not only does this mean training Afghans to be able to fight insurgents in their country, but also teaching them how to train future generations of Afghan soldiers to fight. Spc. Adam Dineen shows us how one unit is getting the Afghan National Army in Paktika province to train it's own. Includes soundbites from 2nd Lt. Ubaid Urhaman and 1st Sgt. Wali, both with the Afghan National Army.
Members of Provincial Reconstruction Team Zabul tour a boys school in the town of Shah Joy, Zabul province, Afghanistan, to check the progress of construction. This school will have twenty classrooms, when finished, and replaces the old school next door. The service members were in the town to inspect various projects, including the local hospital, as well as to evaluate future developments in the area. Photos by Staff Sgt. Brian Furgeson.
