You can thank sorry Jackass Andrew Jackson for the “Trail of Tears” The Civilized American Indians on the East coast actually won the case in a court of law against Jackson.
Jackson somehow overturned the decision and forced the Indians to leave Georgia. Forcing them to cross the Appalachian Mountains during the middle of the winter killing most of them.
By the way, this is how the “Jack-Ass” symbolizing the Democratic party started. Andrew Jackass.
