Preach it, Mark. It all needs to come back to principles. Taxes, welfare, healthcare, abortion, international relations... our policies and motivations must come from correct principles and beliefs. Reagan understood this, too, and it's why the conservative movement so needs another leader like him instead of men with suspect records like Mitt Romney.

@Pkr Considering the current political climate, insurgency via political commentary can only serve to resurrect the conservative founding american principles that have been overtly ignored by the tone def obama administration. Todays insurgent is tomorrows patriot and any triator to a socialist statist administration is a friend and ally to the founding doctrine that incepted the greatest country known to mankind. Rush does the work of the radical insurgent in the guise of patriotism. He has done much to destroy the basic values of America which include the compassion for and understanding of other Americans. HIS form of patriotism will be the end of what our forefathers worked and died so hard to bring about....

My cousin is just back from his third tour on an A1 Abrams crew in Iraq and he doesn't think as you do. He must hate America in a different way. In fact, I don't understand a "veteran" being more anti-conservative than anti-liberal.

thoughts dont make a person virtuous; actions do. indeed, his moral compass isnt perfect, but i have a problem with him preaching as though it was. thats not virtuous and its not right and you know it.
some people do lead virtuous lives and this guy isnt one of them. you can be virtous and have failed marriages... hell, you can be virtuous and smoke pot everyday. but he has no right to hold others to standards he himself fails to meet.
