The first couple of minutes of this track are missing here, you need to here it in it's entirety.... Both versions are excellent but if I had to choose only one to keep it would probably be this one..
I wrote a review on the Toy album on a blog site just for something to do. Any other Bowie fans or non-Bowie fans opinions are welcome and would be greatly appreciated. Look for The Bombastier on Wordpress if you're interested.
Very pretty song! God I love Bowie, been a fan for 40 years and to me at least Bowie is just one of those musicians I never tired of unlike a lot of music I no longer listen to I can just keep on keeping on with my man Bowie!
@mediascribble You clearly don't know what you are talking about here! This is from an unreleased album called Toy from 2000 or 2001, some of the tracks on the album are re-workings of really old songs from the 60s but this particular one is a new composition which eventually found it's way on to the Heathen album, having been re-worked to become Slip Away. From what I read he was mad at Virgin for not releasing it.
I was at a David Bowie Concert for his Reality Tour and when Bowie played "Twinkle Twinkle Uncle Floyd" it was very mesmerizing!

This is a fantastic song, like "Space Oddity" and "Life on Mars?". Masterpiece.
