How to make a Maka Scythe

Used:
- Wooden Pole ( broom stick would work)
- Sheet of Ply Wood
- Big Poster Tube (with lid)
- White Paint
- Silver Spray paint
- Red wood paint
- Black Gloss Paint
- Marker pens to draw on eye (not recommended as it rubbed off really easily and it didnt look very good)

Tools:
Pencil
Masking Tape ( live in UK so I dunno if they'll sell it by you)

Jigsaw? (the saw thing used to cut the blade)

Circular things that fit on the end of the drill to make the holes (Cluelessness )

Drill

Saw for cutting slot into the poster tube so the blade fitted through.

Sanding paper to sand down the end of the blade a bit.

Sooo the description of how it was made excuse my poor explaining skills


-We got a sheet of wood and cut it into the scythe shape
(0:38)

-Then got a pole a made a slot in the top big enough to fit the scythe blade it
(0:40)

-Theeen we got a big cardboard tube you know the type of tube you get when you order poster online and they come in the poster tube that but bigger....One of those a sawed a slot in to it would fit over top of the pole and fit nicely on around the blade. We use I thinks its called
a 'Jigsaw' not sure yeah we used that (and also got a hole cutter what fitted to the end of the drill to get the holes on the side)

-Then we basically painted it and drew the eye on.
(we painted it white first)

For the red we used a glossy paint so it would be all shiney and the silver was actually the silver spray you put on your car wheels O_o heck it made it shiney and the black was just basic black. For the eye we drew it on with marker pens apart from the white and the zigzaggy line at around the top.

how did u get the actually scythe part to attach on to the pole? cuz im not sure what to do.. and ive tried hot glueing it lol!

@Terenceslover Did you read the description :) It has a more detailed explanation~

We made a gap in the pole so we could slide the blade through it then we secuired it with some wood glue then wrapped the cardboard tube around it. To get the slit in the pole we drilled holes and sanded ourway out. You have to make sure the gap in the pole is th right width of the blade though else it won't fit/ fall out easily.
