  • On the single line trimmer head, I have found being a female, you need at lease 5 hands...Thanks for showing me how! Watching your video shows I'm doing the right thing just can't keep the line going smoothly. I know to work at it harder next time...

  • @ydwiwy Glad to be a help! You're right, winding the line smoothly takes a little practice even after knowing how. You'll have it down in no time. Thanks for watching!

  • Thanks from argentina! very helpful! i have the 2nd type trimmer!

  • Thank you so much for your help, think i could do with you at my house :)

  • Thank you

  • @eReplacementParts the part of the dbl line trimmer head is easier to do also. remove the head and remove the line if needed. replace head and tighten bump knob. you then line up the arrows push 10' of line into each hole untill it comes out of the hole and then loop into the hole that is right next to that one. then holding the lines all you do turn the dial and wind the line into it.

  • Thank you very much for the video. It saved me a lot of time and headache......great video.....

  • second (yellow) head is very similar to the third "speed head".

    no need to take apart

line up the arrows on the spool and outer body

insert the line into the holes until the line pops out the bottom of the spool

insert the end of the line into the retaining hole

rotate the spool and it will take in the line

do this until the line is all but a few inches are sticking out of the head and you are done.

use one 8 ft of line insert each end into opposite eyelets - after winding cut loop

  • BRAVO...finally a video that SHOWS you how to wind the line onto the spool the proper way. I have a gas 2 line WeedEater and even the manuel was not clear on the winding. You did an excellent job explaining and showing the proper way right down to winding the string as straight as possible (and the angle cut). Thanks a ton. I really like the last trimmer, very cool.

  • This Helped Alot, Thanks!

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video. You made it look very simple and you gave clear instructions. Now I'm going outside and restring my double line trimmer.

  • @dustybum Thank you for watching!

  • Thanks for the very clear explanations.

  • Very nice video.

  • @cwilbr That's great to hear that the video still helped you, even though the trimmer head styles were a little different. It was hard to settle on just these two sample standard trimmer heads for the video, but we were hoping the two of them would cover most of the bases. Guess it worked out OK! Thanks for watching and thanks for the great comment!

  • That last one is awesome! Mine is a cross between the first and second styles - it has 2 lines but has the 'slotting in' mechanism that the first single line type has. Easy enough to work out how it worked once the line has run out, I saw two holes where they were plugged into the spool feeder then wrapped them around in the two chambers evenly (the prepacked ones from the factory when I bought the trimmer was wound too-tight I think for it kept jamming up) I didn't jam up the head with weeds.

  • WOW made it look so much more simple than I do lol. Thanks a heap!!

  • @mrblk001 Our pleasure.

  • @nwosigns Any time. Thanks for the thanks!

  • Thanks a million. You've made my life so much easier. lol

  • Awesome thanks.
