@xxElitaOnexx uhm 7 i believe. so basically i only ventured where my mother was at lol and some private school -__- haha. but i cant forget a true philippines empanada taste like!!! i was born in bacarra, ilocos norte and when i visited last year, there was this house down the road from our house and i went there EVERYDAY!!!! lol all i mostly knew was manila because of passport thing so i seen lots of their street foods lol. yeah i missed out a lot, tell me about it. ahaha
@asenboyz how old were you when you left? You really missed out a lot :) from your old post you mentioned empanada. The Ilocano empanada from the North is the best one in PI i think. Miles away from the ones sold here in Manila.
@xxElitaOnexx balut is the first thing that pops in my head when i think of street food. he shoulda showed how philippines really live. almost everything is sold on the street, like those side street "cantinans" i dont remember anything else there since i was raised mostly being with a strict teacher mom and cop dad and then i left. so whatever i know of PI is prolly what us american filipino kids know lol.
@asenboyz i don't think so. The food guide did a good job having presented regional delicacies. Filipinos overseas should stop advertising Filipino cuisine with Balut. It's an exotic food, not a delicacy. I'm born and raised here and I haven't eaten it for almost 25 years!
I visited PI after 11 years of being away. Balut, street food, the uhm...karayan picnics, empanada!!!! i think andrew's stay was better than this huh.

Thank God for the Gentlemen from Angeles city who showed Anthony Bourdain a good time. What they ate there was really good.
