Well obv they are your friends and you can do as you please, and people who tell racist jokes condone racism, even if they don't mean to. Its not so much the word but what it represents, esp to the older generation of gay people. I just see it as a huge lack of respect. I hate it even more when gay people use words like that.

@WhoIsSean ehhh i disagree..i don't take these things personally and some ppl just need to lighten up..i mean ppl still make racist jokes about blacks and hispanics but that doesn't mean they're racists..i actually think that makes them more comfortable around me anyway..i just accept the fact that gay jokes and racist jokes will never go away and i'm fine with that..i appreciate your genuine concern though =]
