Did my MFC/CPO course at Netheravon in 1984, , the Northumberland police photographs of this incident were used as a horrific and graphic illustration of the dangers of double feeding the 81, I was often deployed as a mortar line safety officer in Munsterlager and believe me when I say the images of those dismembered Royal Marine lads was burned into my brain, the most awful thing I have ever seen. I also was on exercise at Otterburn a few times. I did not know of this accident.

It's so sad... All those great lads, gone...But definitely not forgotten, yes,It's very sad.
