Hi! I'm attempting a woven transverse herringbone pattern for the first time.

The pattern calls for sl2 wyif

Are these the stitches I need? My pattern doesn't specify knit wise or purl wise.

What if it says to slip one with the yarn in front, then knit one? Do I need to move the yarn to the back before I knit that stitch?
