The legendary huge blue diamond which is said to be jinxed. It has been dramatized in the famous 1997 movie - TITANIC. My wife, myself and my son paid a visit to the real thing showcased at the museum of culture at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C., USA in June, 2002.

  • "Diamond of the Crown" is what was said to be in the titanic.. :D The Hope diamond is very pretty but its more "inferior" to that said to have been at the Titanic. If you read the info on the Hope Diamond at the museum you will notice it was never dramatized for the movie...... :) just saying....

  • minealone

  • @EffinLillie haha! nevermind... =D

  • @QuirkyGirl12345 I don't know what you just said :D Lol.

  • @EffinLillie glad we agree.... i think... =D

stand still in a shopping mall.... people are like ants. we are all alone, and yet we are all the same. trend followers. tourists.

grrr..... i despise of how humanity has evolved over the past generation. I'm ashamed to be one of them.

do you take this disrespect personally, or just in general? *curious* =D

  • @QuirkyGirl12345 Its true. I find it disrespectful and taking the parts may help to learn and I all understand that, but yes.. tourists are stupid D:

  • @EffinLillie it depends what it is. i think majority of items found in museums can be very beneficial to the studies of anthropologists, archeologists, psychologist and many other professions, like bones, gems, artifacts etc. however personal items like belongings of soldiers should be kept within the family.

    So

    a) Its not rude. Although it could be seen as disrespectful to some

    b) "parts and stuff" is an epic generalisation of historical material

    c) museums aren't stupid :( the tourists are

  • I find it's rude to take parts and stuff into stupid museum's ):
