I play it a little differently than the original version(s). First, I'm in a girl key: Capo 3, Cut Capo*: 5. I sometimes do this song split 4 and 6, or 5 and 7 (stupid-high, i know... but it's FUUUNNN). The chords are G and D in the verse, and Bm, A, and G in the chorus. The bridge is just Emaj and A. Super easy.
Enjoy!
*If you don't know what a "cut capo" is, it has a few names: foot capo, short capo, cut capo, etc. Basically, the capo has a ridge where it should clamp the low E, and it's short, so it misses the high B and E strings. So you have a capo that clamps A, D, and G. It's usually used in a two-fret interval (e.g. capo:3, cut: 5), which leaves the guitar in a Esus position. I've seen it used and many different intervals, and there's even a Shane & Shane song where I use it backwards (so it holds the guitar in Amaj). (I'll prolly post that one soon cuz it's a fav of a few people). You can make a whole bunch of chord shapes with one or two fingers, and you have added mobility in playing licks in a chord/melody fashion.
As I keep uploading my S&S repertoire, you will see more and more cut capo. It's pretty nifty, creates a nice sound, and is a lot of fun. I recommend it.

@majo740 thanks! and they DO have a stupid range. especially shane everette. some of the stuff he does (even in their regular key) stretches my voice. so insane. :)
