  • @needparalegal where i live, there's no 8 hrs of sunlight.

  • 8 hours of sunlight will remove 99.9% of viruses, bacteria and I think fungi.

  • i myself make it a habit to carry a filter that removes cyst as well as bacteria but not 100%, love to see that technology and chlorine dioxide product for the viruses and remaining bugs (tablets or drops).

    being in the wilderness with at least diarhea is not a plan i make, it is the opposite, to be fully hydrated the whole time, and sometimes my water gets boiled too, i loved hot tea.

  • It is often best to use multiple methods as just one method, such as tablets, will not purify the water from all contaminants. For more information on different water purification methods go to pacific crest trail association, then go to health and safety, then to water purification.
