@briansmobile1 is it true that those beetles are worthless to own? alot of people tell me that they have alot of problems. im a mechanic my self and havent worked on beetles yet.

just finished installing a new water pump. Didn't use any lubricant on the o ring. Had to force it in. I only used some gasket maker (the non-hardening type) around the surface that touches the block. Now, I hope I don't have a leak. I have my fingers crossed.

hi do u have any mk4 jetta repairs? Thanks!

My Mk2 Polo is 3 clips and a bolt to get the timing belt off. Older VWs are awesome.

looks like there was coolant leaking already? the motor mount looks like it had a decent amount of coolant leaking from it

@chrisnjenny100407 Yep the whole cooling system was a mess. The fan quit and the rest took some abuse and was too old to take it.

What is your opinion on UTI university?

@Duitslond I like the $ I get from people clicking their ads. Beyond that if you have the money they look like a decent outfit for getting specific training quickly. Most tech's don't make HUGE money- so I'd recommend learning while being paid if possible and using the net to learn for free if you can. Otherwise you could end up with a pile of debt you don't want or blowing savings that may take years to rebuild.

Question, why are the bolts light blue ? And I noticed the threads they go into are blue also !aluminum castings with blue thread inserts ? Something new ? Anti seize ? Never saw threads inserted into a casting ,usually it's just a threaded casting or a hole . Thanks, cool vids.

@09victoryrc They're factory coated to resist corrosion. Honda does the same thing, but they use green. Mitsubishi often uses a pink variant of the same thing.
