Like most people I had never heard of Basil Marceaux until a few days ago. I was surprised to see that he lived just over 20 miles from me so I called him to request this interview. I was curious to see what he was really like. I was a little frustrated that it seemed as if no one was trying to find out out where he stood on issues. My goal was to approach him objectively and see what I could find out about him. It turns out that although he has what some would call radical views, he is honest and sincere in his bid for office.

What has happened to objectivity?

  • You spelled his name wrong, it's "Basil Marceaux.com".

  • I don't agree with anything he wants, and honestly some of his commercials have made me laugh out loud, but he seems like a nice guy. Obviously he's getting made fun of a lot, but he seems like a nice, honest guy who just wants to try and make a difference personally. I kind of feel bad for the guy, with all the flak he's getting.

  • @tinamarisol2009 what are you in 3rd grade? if a guy cant convey his thoughts properly he shouldn't be in a position of power especially a governor of a fuckin state!

  • @basilmarceaux Thanks, I will call you. I will delete this message so everyone in the world will not call you :)

  • see you all in 2013

  • @Meowcow42 You'd feel bad laughing at anyone whom is not capable of responding to ridicule.

  • @ArtisanTony Yup :)

  • @Amarksyhk Oh I see :)

  • @ArtisanTony Its a reference to the Opie and Anthony show, 'Frrrrrunkis" is just a sound that Jim Norton came up with one day and "Linger Longer" means to refer to something that happened awhile back. lol

  • @Amarksyhk ok I am from a previous generation, what does that mean? :)

  • @pwnpower LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLINGER LOOOOOOOOOOONGERR

  • I feel so bad laughing at him :[

he seems like a pretty nice guy.

  • On wiki he was a marine in recon intelligence gathering. So maybe he is just camera shy and has a speech problem?

  • I would feel a little more bad for him if he actually knew what he was talking about and would answer the important questions you ask him. I still feel kind of bad for him for what people say about him and how he gets embarressed alot

  • FRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LedZeppelin362 he is not slow he is just not very articulate. Of course articulate does not mean you get a good politician, i.e. obama :)

  • ha ha he only has 3 teeth.

  • @Stefan2SERB Try to be a little more respectful and try again :)

  • "imma take a locomotive..."

  • @cooldude123456789098 i agree. i would reguard him as a politician, not a retard, but still...doesnt change the fact that all his points kinda suck. (thats just me)

  • LOL @ Gifts part at the end. Basil Marceaux is Santa Clause! I wish I had written him in on my ballot looking back.

  • I like him. I honestly do.

  • Sure. When you assume the objectivity in a political climate, it require clarity. Everyone will have different assumption on his decisions based on his ability to assert himself. So, it's best that he's not elected in the first place.

  • The only man whose name is his website! And who doesn't want to end slavery at traffic stops? I mean there is nothing I hate worse than to be pulled over by a cop and forced to PICK COTTON!

  • Ignoring all speech handicaps, he has some good views and and is speaking the truth. I wouldn't vote for him, purely for the reason that I don't believe he can execute his plans, and a few of his plans I disagree with. I consider him a legitimate politic, he may be a little bit goofy, and I can sympathize with that, but he is still a thinking person with honest intentions.
