Astronomers are still scratching their heads over Comet Lovejoy, which plunged through the atmosphere of the sun in December and, against all odds, survived. The comet is now receding into the outer solar system leaving many mysteries behind.

What if the comet was heading towards the Earth after exiting the Sun atmosphere ? Somebody raised this question ? How many scientists expected the comet to survive and calculated the next trajectory after surrounding the Sun ?

According to the theory of electric universe comets are made out of rocks and have a electrical discharge which cause the tail !

Go Comet Lovejoy. More questions thank answers. I've learned the sun is very, very hot. 200 meters of ice is a lot, but ... This doesn't add up.

Now that is interesting indeed. The way it shut off was cool, it's like it burnt off all the outer ice untill newer material was exposed, but after it went by. It could have shells of ice and rock and metals that are always being blasted away, and the rock and metals might have saved it as it went past.
That was cool. I want to go out into space to see what is going on. All i need now is a starship. haha : )
