Possibly bad news :(

So Lilly was meant to arrive yesterday... But she wasn't delivered. She has a small lump on her right saddle area and the vet says he thinks it's just a cyst but it might be a sarcoid, for those of you who don't know what a sarcoid is, it's a form of skin cancer. Today (24th June 2010) the vet will be going out to see her and she's having the lump removed to be sent to a lab to test for cancer (a biopsy.)
It's her 6th birthday today and i was desperate for her to be here for her birthday, but if the lump comes back clear next wednesday then she will be here next wednesday instead. We are hoping that she's fine and that it isn't a tumour but if it is we'll be passing her up and looking at other horses next weekend and the search will continue.
The owners were looking at it last night while she was in the field and they think it's just a fly bite. This same vet told them that their slightly lame horse either had thrush or had navicular and has a tendency to go from one extreme to the next so hopefully it will be something minor :)

): im so sorry i hope she does better and it isnt serious, our horse roscoe has melanomas and before the tumors were just funny bumps that turned out to be , well melanomas ;,( i hope she is okay tho
