Alot of Americans were sexually, physically or verbally abused as children by their Euro nannies in the decades after WW2. . Americans took in countless Europeans, and families left fatherless by the war would have a Euro nanny while the mother worked. This was especially true in the lower classes. I had two childhood friends that committed suicide when they became teenagers because they were abused by their nannies. I'm afraid of Europeans myself, I've been abused by enough of them.
