Urban poor leader explains why Corazon de Jesus residents fight for their homes

In this video, Arnold Repique, president of Samahan ng Nagkakaisang Mamamayan ng Corazon de Jesus, explains why residents of Barangay (village) Corazon de Jesus are fighting for their right to housing. This video was taken a few hours before violence erupted in the community.

More than 300 families lost their home on January 11, 2012. The disputed land was reportedly part of the San Juan local government's new city hall.
