I saw the Haight st riots. Summer of 1969. Or was it 1968. But it was over. 1968 Sadie Hawkins Day in the park. Smoked hash with Alan Ginsburg! We did light shows. 1967 was the ideal year. It changed rapidly. This little documentary is good. Another big change happened in 1974. People stopped getting psych, philosophy, anthropology, etc degrees and began getting business degrees. The change was abrupt.

"Hippy is an establishment label for a profound, invisible, underground, evolutionary process. For every visible hippy, barefoot, beflowered, beaded, there are a thousand invisible members of the turned-on underground." .... I sense two things
Another hippy movement
Another revolution
Call me crazy but I think they are related.

te hippie generation did not prevail in the end...
but it made an impact that many generations will continue to read in history books and imitate... even if you think its wrong or stupid, you gotta respect the energy this culture had... simply beautiful.

for trashing the troops that killed and maimed young children and women, destroyed them with a painful horrible Napalm death? for trashing the troops that went with the purpose of killing innocent humans? and even after that they fucking LOST.
anybody that willingly kills innocent deserves all the trashing they get.

we can bring it back. YOU can bring it back. dont just sitting there wishing. DO something about it.

We do something by not going to war. If you and people like you joined in too, there wouldn't be any war.
I can't play guitar, by the way. I can however, build a house, cook, run a business, organize events, farm, massage, have fun, make friends, cure sick animals, debate, operate heavy machinery, shoot, drive, manage my finances, engage myself in the political and legal systems, act , read, and much more. I can also spell correctly the word NUKE.why are you an angry person?

It didn't work then because it was a bunch of people on drugs, high, not looking out for each other, too focused or unfocused on what mattered to survive. Don't tell me that we need to do all that again! We're still messed up from that, with kids still doing drugs like wannabes, but it is nothing but evil masquerading as cool. It's not good to do again. Even Ken Kesey said that it's time to move on. No going back.
