  • I love the clash. I love bo diddley. He's not talking about music, he's talking about hazards of the profession, and promoting his own style one sided. Give him some le-way on his own opinion, he was an originator who like alot of others, got little appreciation outside of musicians, got little money by the buisness side, and got some of the most harshest racism because of his time period. Aside from that, Music talks first and he was old and has earned the right to be cranky. I'm 26.

  • ANYWAY THE CLASH IS STILL THE ONLY BAND THAT MATTERS!! FOR EVA!

  • BO DIDDLEY speaks the god damn truth. He's saying if you're that good, you don't need all that volume behind you - Clash are overrated millionaire hypocrites who sent their children to public school and wrote trite and crass psuedo revolutionary songs for suckers. They will never, never ever be the real thing.

  • He's fucking right. Everyone knows he's right. So shut up.

  • he's from a different era, he must have said similar things about acts in the 60's and early 70's. to him punk didn't mean anything, and why should it? to an ageing r'n'b artist it must have seemed that they were just there to make as much noise as possible.

  • guys, hes bo diddley, not megadeth, my dad would be saying the same thing

  • Hey Bo.they were nt playing for a kindergarden class.they called themselves Clash City ROCKERS for a reason.

  • well..that's the last time we take HIM out on tour....:)

  • I was at that show in Vancouver - AND at the sound check he refers to earlier that day. The Clash were no louder than any other rock n roll band of that period. Mick Jones and Joe Strummer only used one amp each if I recall - which is NOT a lot. Maybe Bo just wasn't used to modern music... Bo wasn't complaining at the sound check either, and I was sitting almost next to him.
