Back then, at The Bell System's WorldKey Information Kiosks, You could make a video call to Guest Relations to ask questions or make reservations, or look up information on Epcot without having to necessarily get a park map at the time.
Well, Today, The WorldKey Information Kiosk(s) sounds kind of outdated now when you can NOW do those same things in the comfort of your home on a laptop or desktop or tablet computer, or smartphone.
Then, talk to AT&T. This wasn`t all Disney's Doing.
Disney just had to make the changes to better reflect the sponsor in a way.
Also, to keep up with better looking at the future, rather than what we already have now.
Example: I was there in 1983 on My First Visit to Epcot when they had the Bell System WorldKey Information Kiosk(s) where they had Epcot Maps on Touchscreen Computers, Video - Teleconfrencing with Guest Relations, etc.
Here's the thing, What if The OLD Spaceship Earth were to come back, then almost everything about it would sound so dated would it? The second half of the ride is themed into looking into the technologies that will become available in the future, not the technologies that are already available ... TODAY, Right?
Now, do you see why Disney had to update it ... just a little bit at least?

@djthereplay Well, sure, nobody's saying it shouldn't ever be updated. Just that they should have done a better job.

So beautiful. So powerful. It makes me even sadder about how it was butchered in 2007.
