If they get lumped in with hipsters, then its out of ignorance. I know what real hipsters are. Goths and Metalheads are too sincere to be hipsters. Hipsters are breezy and not dedicated to some kind of niche as that. Thats the same as saying Star Trek Convention people are hipsters. Hipsters come in variations, but they are the opposite of goths and metalheads.

Most look like them, "Metalheads" and "Goths" are often about "Hipster" these days, they take "codes" from others and are thus everything (except not really).... That's how you can tell if someone is a Hipster or not
