What magnification was the telescope at when these pictures were taken?

Magnification is not really a term that applies to images taken with a telescope. What is relevant is the resolution of the image, which is the amount of sky covered by each pixel. The images were taken at a resolution of 2.1 arcseconds per pixel.

These are amazing! Great shots. Can I get similiar results by viewing not taking pics with a 5.1 inch reflector focal lenght of 900mm and ratio of 6? How good would I see them?

The star clusters will look somewhat similar, since they are fairly bright. With a 5.1-inch telescope, the galaxies and nebulae will look fainter. Unlike a camera, your eye is only able to collect light for a few seconds, at most, to form an image.

Thank you. Actually it was only one night (evening of March 27 and morning of March 28).

Thank you for your comments. I missed the last opportunity for a complete marathon in 2006 so I had been waiting three years for the opportunity and I wanted to take full advantage of it. I do wish I could have uploaded the version with "Mystic Rhythms" instead because the lyrics are more appropriate.
