  • @gmccall22 It's debatable that Madonna sounds like Alisha. A quick check on wikipedia shows that All Night Passion was released on EP in 1984 when Madonna was in an NYC studio recording Lucky Star and Into the Groove. Madonna has long taken dance music sounds mainstream. You had to know where to find Alisha's EP. But the albumn Like a Virgin was widely available.

  • Hey all of you Brooklyn cats... check this out. Me and my DJing partner spun records at dance clubs in the 1980s in Madison, WI. This EP was our ace in the hole. We'd hold it out until we had the house in a frenzy and this one would take it over the top, EVERY TIME. We were the only ones who owned this. I bought it in at Downtown Records on 7th Avenue in the summer of 1984. We were no KISS FM djs, but this gave us some cred. BTW, there is a new remix on myspace.

  • Tuff beats...Imperial... Unfortunately Alisha's vocals sound a bit too much like Bonny Tyler... Better when the production speeds them up, like UK Rave circa 91.

  • Classic 80s electro tune. Reminds me going to underground dances downtown in Fresno circa 83/84/85.

  • My Favorite, love the dub version too! I saw a copy of "Star gazing" today, should go back and get. I'm from the San Francisco and this was hard to find. The first time i went to NYC in 1987, I walked 12 blocks to get to Vinyl Mania to get this in the rain. I was shocked that they had a stack of them and all these other rare records at $3.99. I miss those days I would climb Mount Everest to get my records!

  • o man this song brings back sooo many memories. i remember when i first heard this song i thought that it was madonna because alicia's sound on this song so closely resembled madonna's back then. great song, great memories; i wish i could go back to that place in time, life was a lot simpler then.

  • @HoseaCider lmao

  • @CookyMonzta omg....dude i remember going to j&r music world too!!!!!! here in chicago j&r, rose records, peaches records and see hear records were THE places to go to get your vinyl fix!!! and you're right, alicia WAS only fifteen when she recorded this song. i was just days away from graduating from high school when this song came out and it's been one of my favourites for over 25 years.

  • fantastic, going in DR PASSION's playlist
