Speaking of not knowing what you speak of...many of the comic brigades take the competitive part seriously.

It's not an excuse for locals to get drunk. People travel from all over the country to tale part in the parade. Also, it's a competetion that is taken very seriously, with the exception of the comics. String bands, for example work all year to prepare for new years day. So if you know no what you speak of, don't speak..
