Brian Walsh ! December 1988 , This guy absolutely loved to play all the time ! I never met a player who was that into playing His instrument . If He could of He would of played all day in fact He did just that . This guy was the complete opposite from that Homosexual snob please beg me to play Kevin Mora/Eaon Burnsfury . I can't believe Fox and Cavallo fired this guy when we should have been out on the road taking no prisoners wailing all over the world . Cavallo was stealing money out of the budget so the easiest way to steal the money out of the budget was to keep us in the studio at 2 thousand a day and get a kickback of a thousand a day from the studio owners keeping us hanging around LA while the money went bye bye instead of touring the world ? That is exactly what the cavallo's plans were to get at the budget money . I mean how do you milk the budget/advance ? You fire one of the members and then go through a long in the studio process while you jack the advance into your own pocket - that's how ! Crooks ! The Cavallo's did the exact same thing to the goo goo dolls first drummer too fired the guy , same thing . They refused to let us play out especially around LA and we were completely in the dark about it untill Will Rogers ( Producer )and Evil Wilhelm -( studio manager at Alpha studios in Burbank ) told us what was up and that a year after I had left the band . Brian Fox fired Him after 5 long years of working on His music much to my dismay and protest . Fox hated touring and Him and Brian always were fighting about the groove it was awful how they would fight over all that crap instead of making it work . Brian Walsh never recovered being fired from this band and became a heroin addict in that 70's teen idol Leif Garrett's band . They were all shooting heroin so brian got hooked too . He died of a self inflicted wound to the head with his 45. caliber revolver tragically . Thank God I got this video of Brian to show how fun He was and how much He wanted to wail ! I love you brother , Rest in peace my old friend . Your playing lives on ! Thank you Mark Thompson for filmiing this on your beta cam .
Brian Walsh was one of the nicest guys I have ever met.
He was always joking about something. It was practically
impossible to be too serious around Brian.
I hadn't seen him since the early nineties, and decided to
look him up online today. This video served as news of his
death. This is so sad. My sympathy goes to his brother Dave.
My sincere hope is that Brian will find peace, wherever he
may be. My very best wishes are with you, Brian.

Walsh rocks!! He was an awesome player and this video clearly shows that. And this guy wanted to play ALL THE TIME. I remember getting thrown out of Guitar Center in LA for playing dueling drumsets with him. The sales guy came in the room and threw us out. "You guys aren't gonna buy anything. You're just making a bunch of noise so get out of here!!!".
